Birth Chart Calculation and Interpretation

A birth chart, in astrology also called radix or natal chart, is a snapshot of the sky at the moment of your birth: seen from Earth and calculated precisely for your birth time and birth place. That is far more than the one star sign from the newspaper column. Every planet occupies an exact position in the zodiac. Only their interplay forms the picture of a personality with its traits, abilities and recurring life themes.

Sun, Moon, Ascendant: three points that carry special weight

Three points contribute particularly much to the chart:

How to use the calculator

Enter birth date, time and place above to calculate your birth chart free of charge. The place search finds cities worldwide and sets time zone and coordinates automatically.

Birth time rewards precision. A few minutes shift the ascendant and the houses, so a look at the birth certificate beats a vague memory that only narrows things down to a two-hour window. If the time is unknown, calculate with 12:00: Sun, Moon and the planets in their signs remain meaningful; only ascendant and houses become uncertain.

After calculating, the radix shows every planet in sign and house, along with exact degree positions. Hover over signs, houses, axes or planets: short notes explain what you are looking at.

Aspects: interpreting the connections in the chart

Aspects are angular relationships between planets: conjunction, sextile, trine, square and opposition. They show which forces in you cooperate and which stand in productive tension.

This is where interpretation begins. One click on an aspect generates an AI-supported short reading in a psychological-humanistic spirit: practical language, no predictions, no drama. The tighter the orb, meaning the exactness of the angle, the more defining the pattern. That, too, flows into the reading.

Houses: where things show up

Signs describe how a force works. The twelve houses show where in life it appears most clearly: from the first house (self and presence) to the seventh (partnership) and the tenth (vocation and public role). The “Theme flow” tab turns this into a picture for beginners. It traces how the energy of each house cusp flows onward through its ruler into another house.

Transit weather: today's sky

Transits connect two layers of time: the current positions of the planets and your birth chart. Transit weather shows which of your natal themes are being activated right now. It describes a quality of time, not fate. Here, too, one click delivers a fitting short reading — for any date and a different location if you wish.

The limits of a free birth chart

Astrology is not a science, and no calculator replaces a conversation. The interpretations are offers for reflection: mirrors, not verdicts. Your input is used only for the calculation and is not stored permanently.

Where these short readings of single aspects reach their limit, the real work begins: the synthesis that considers your birth chart as a whole — the horoscope in all its connections. Our method explains how we approach that. And if you want your chart read as one connected whole, the Deep Analysis delivers the full, human-reviewed interpretation.
