Visiting this website

This website and the free calculator are operated on a virtual server (VPS) of IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany, in data centres in Germany; a data processing agreement is in place with IONOS. The web server writes no access logs containing full IP addresses; technical system and error logs are deleted automatically after seven days at the latest. Domain management and e-mail are also provided by IONOS SE.

This website uses no analytics. Fonts, images, styles and scripts are served from this domain. The only external component is the consent manager Usercentrics (Usercentrics GmbH, Sendlinger Straße 7, 80331 Munich, Germany), loaded from Usercentrics servers in the EU. It manages consent and stores your selection in your browser; the legal bases are the obligation to document consent (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR) and Section 25(2) of the German TDDDG for technically required storage. You can change your selection at any time via the Cookie settings link in the footer. Beyond that, no data leaves the site until you deliberately follow an external link, for example to the Digistore24 checkout.

Ordering and payment

The checkout is operated by Digistore24 GmbH, St.-Godehard-Straße 32, 31139 Hildesheim, Germany, as the contracting seller and an independent data controller. When you buy, it processes your order, address and payment data under its own privacy notice. Astrocadence receives the order reference, the purchased product and the checkout email address for fulfillment (legal basis: performance of the contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Free chart calculator (online birth chart)

At www.astrocadence.com/en/birth-chart-calculator you can calculate a birth chart free of charge. The calculator is intended for adults entering their own birth data. The birth data you enter (date, time, place or coordinates) is processed in memory solely for that calculation and is not permanently stored; there is no user account and no persistent customer or usage profile. The generated short interpretations relate to astrological configurations and constitute automated content assessments (Art. 22 GDPR is not affected: no legally significant decisions are made).

Place search: when you actively trigger a search (Enter or the “Search” button), our server forwards your place input to the Nominatim geocoding service of the OpenStreetMap Foundation (St John's Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge, CB4 0WS, United Kingdom); if you enter coordinates manually, the coordinates are sent to the same service for confirmation. Your IP address and your other birth data are not transmitted (server proxy). The time zone is determined locally on our server. Search results are cached technically, without any personal reference, for up to 24 hours. An EU adequacy decision is in place for the United Kingdom. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

AI short interpretations: for the interpretation of individual aspects our server transmits a purely astronomical combination description (e.g. “Sun in Leo in the 10th house square Mars”) to Anthropic Ireland, Limited (Dublin, Ireland) as processor; transfers to the US parent company are safeguarded by EU standard contractual clauses under the data processing agreement. Your name, birth date, birth place and IP address are not transmitted. According to Anthropic, API inputs and outputs are retained for up to 30 days. Interpretation texts are cached on our side per combination (not per person) so repeated requests can be answered without renewed AI processing.

Daily limits: to prevent abuse and excessive costs we limit the number of freshly generated AI interpretations per day. For this we store a pseudonymised, day-bound check value of your IP address (HMAC with a secret key and the current date); check values of different days cannot be linked to each other and are deleted automatically no later than 24 hours after the end of the day. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in operational security and cost control).

Google reCAPTCHA (only after an explicit click): once your daily quota is used up, you can unlock further interpretations by clicking the button “Unlock with Google reCAPTCHA”. Only with that click is the reCAPTCHA service of Google Ireland Ltd. (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) loaded; Google then processes your IP address and device information and sets the _GRECAPTCHA cookie. Without that click no contact with Google takes place and no cookies are set. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) German TDDDG); alternatively you can simply wait until the next day.

Your birth details and the report

To prepare your report, we process the details you submit after purchase: your first name or preferred report name, date of birth, exact birth time, city and country of birth, and your confirmations of age and own-data submission. The legal basis is the performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Preparing a personalized astrological interpretation means inferring personal characteristics from your birth details for the purpose of the ordered report. This processing serves only the preparation of your report. It does not produce decisions with legal or similarly significant effects, and it is not used for advertising or profiling beyond the report itself.

The astrological calculation runs locally with our own software. The subsequent synthesis uses AI assistance by Anthropic PBC (USA). Only the chart factors needed for your report and your preferred report name are transmitted; your email address and order number are not sent to the AI service. The transfer to the USA is based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses within a data processing agreement; use of the inputs for model training is contractually excluded.

Astrocadence does not maintain a customer account database. Limited order status is retained for fulfillment and legal operations. Birth details and reports are processed only in the systems described here and deleted under the retention schedule below.

Email

Service messages about your order and the final report are sent from an Astrocadence mailbox at IONOS through authenticated, transport-encrypted domain email. The mailboxes are located in data centers in Germany; a data processing agreement with IONOS is in place.

Retention and deletion

Working files containing birth details are deleted within 30 days after successful delivery. Copies of the delivered report are deleted within 90 days after delivery unless a correction or dispute is active; after that, a resend requires a new preparation.

Support messages are deleted after the matter is closed and a reasonable follow-up period has passed. Statutory retention duties for business and accounting records (in particular under commercial and tax law) remain unaffected; those records contain no birth details and no report content.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection under the GDPR. You can lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority; competent for us is the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.

To exercise your rights, write to info@astrocadence.com. As a purchaser, please state your order reference; as a user of the free calculator your request needs no reference (note: as the calculator does not permanently store birth data, usually no personal data about your use remains). Please do not include birth details in your first message.

Automated decisions

Astrocadence makes no automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects. A person reviews every report before delivery.
